Rethymnon has spectacular sunsets. The sun goes down just behind the Fortessa in the old town and you see it disappearing from the walk along the beach. The same fantastic scenery every night. As I lived just at the end of the long (2 kms) walk I saw the sunset every night when walking into town for dinner.
